Issue
Triangle Experience Group developed the Virtual Joint Operations Center (VJOC), a command-and-control common operating picture tool. TEG needed to secure sustained funding for the capability and build support within the Pentagon for its broader adoption.
Process
Navigators has worked with TEG since 2017. Most recently, our efforts have focused on securing funding for VJOC under the One Big Beautiful Bill Act and ensuring that funding was distributed as intended. At the same time, we worked to build support within the Pentagon for widespread adoption of the tool and pursued new and additional funding opportunities to sustain the program over the long term.
Results
- Congressional direction to the Pentagon to apply more than $400 million in One Big Beautiful Bill Act funding to the enhancement of command-and-control tools, including VJOC.
- A $60 million research, development, test, and evaluation request for VJOC in the Pentagon’s FY2027 budget, moving the capability from a congressional add to Department-requested funding.
- A pending contract to support the Golden Dome initiative.
